Your Story Data remains local. Sapling Story is designed as an offline-first desktop application. Your stories, characters, worlds, and plot lines are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your creative content to our servers ("cloud") unless you explicitly choose to use a future cloud backup feature.

We use trusted third-party services for specific functions:
- Supabase: For user authentication and license verification.
- Lemon Squeezy: For processing payments and handling tax compliance. We do not store your credit card information.
